late 1940s blue maternity top with rhinestones and shoulder pads (small)

Description

I wore this a couple of times during my last pregnancy with a 50s maternity pencil skirt (will list shortly!) to work, and it was one of my favourites!

It´s made from a faux slub silk fabric, probably a rayon blend - looks quite tonic-y.

Features screen printed white dots, piped yoke detail which is finished with three sparkly rhinestone buttons (purely decorative), and peter pan collar. Flat pleated below the yoke to accomodate up to full term! Fastens to the rear with big fifties buttons (opens all the way down the back).

Has small shoulder pads, and is 15" seam to seam across the rear of the shoulders. Fitted me as a pre-pregnancy size 8/10UK, so would class it as small but see measurements.

Fabric: Manmade, as described above

Measures: Shoulder to shoulder 15" across back , bust 38" max (so about a 34 c/d cup), Waist is very much free size, and the overall length is approximately 24" from shoulder to hem.

Condition: Good vintage condition with light wear, immediately wearable. Would be very good but for the fact that the screen printed dots ´cracked´ when they were washed the first time, but this isn´t terribly noticeable as they still appear circular. Clean and ready to wear!
